Tailored, structured and sequential

Our curriculum has been tailored to enrich the learning experiences of our pupils, through links to our locality. A structured, sequenced and coherent curriculum provides our pupils with the opportunity to progressively build on their life experiences, in order to achieve goals outlined in the National Curriculum. Furthermore, creative homework affords our pupils the opportunity to consolidate their curriculum knowledge both in a teacher and pupil led capacity. All curriculum areas are led by subject experts, within our school, to ensure that new learning is relevant, structured and progressive and learning over time becomes a narrative which is extended as children progress through school. Learning has a context and focus and our pupils are curious and ask questions to further their understanding.
