The school enjoyed a fantastic theatre production of ‘The Jungle Book’. There were lots of songs, acting and role play. Thank you to Image Theatre productions for providing the children with such a memorable occasion. I’m sure there will be lots of creative writing to follow in school.
World Book Day March 2017
Both children and staff had a fantastic day reading books and dressing up as their favourite characters for World Book Day. Please see the ‘Whole School Events’ section to see some of the activities the children got up to.
Our New School Allotment: A Great Success!
A big thank you to Shaw Trust who have worked with the children to install our new allotment garden. I’m sure you would agree that they did a fabulous job and we all look forward to growing lots of vegetables in the summer term. Our Head Boy and Head Girl thank all the members of Shaw Trust personally and can officially say that our allotment garden is now open for business.
Staying Green Keeping Clean
Well done to our Year 6 litter pickers who ensured that our school site was clean and tidy. They did a great job keeping the school green and clean.
Hoopstarz
Well done to our Year 2 Hula stars who took part in the Hoopstarz Festival today. They worked very hard at developing their hula hoop skills.
February Half Term
I would like to wish all of our children, parents and staff a restful and fun half term holiday. School will reopen on Monday 27th February.

France 2017 Update
I have just received a message to say that the coach travelling from France will arrive at school at 11:50pm. Could I ask parents to meet in the school hall at 11:30pm. If parents could remain in the hall while the children exit the bus that would be really helpful – this will avoid congestion when removing luggage from the coach.
Thank you.

Au revoir Chateau Beaumont
As we neared the end of our France trip, it was time to get out the fancy dress and party – costumes, catwalks, talent shows and dancing!! A fabulous time was had by all!!
French Day
After two very enjoyable trips to Mont St Michel and St Malo, everyone was eager to taste the French “delicacies” of snails and frogs legs. After a fine feast, it was time to dress up in the finest French outfits for an evening of entertainment!
Governor – Parent Drop-In Session
Thank you to all those parents who attended our morning and after school drop in sessions with school governors. I hope you found the experience worth while and found the information from governors informative. There will be further sessions planned later in the year so please do take the opportunity to pop along for a piece of cake and an informal chat.
Mrs D Jubb (Chair of Governors)
