Target Setting and Recording Attainment

Using the ‘Shine’ system above the children record their steps of progress (Autumn, Spring & Summer) on record sheets within their work books. Targets are set at the beginning of the year for the core subjects (RE, English, Maths and Science) and progress is reviewed each term. Parents are informed of their child’s progress via assessment information sheets and parent evenings held each term. An example of a child’s record sheet can be seen below.
